I guess we can be certain that ever since man learned to walk on two legs he was tempted to kick, throw and catch objects for his own enjoyment. Although parishes established after World War II tended to be more ethnically diverse, many remained distinctly Irish. This was to be achieved primarily by direct French military intervention. What all of these schools of thought have in common is a determination to analyze unjust power relationships as manifested in cultural products like literature (and film, art, etc.).
